Descripción
Sumario:Originally published as an essay in 1930, this work presents the ideal socialist city to English-speaking readers. The author, an advocate of collectivisation and industrialization in urban planning, was influenced by the rational solutions proposed by Le Corbusier, the Bauhaus Movement, and his friend and collaborator Moisei Ginzburg. Sotsgorod presents Miliutin's reflections at multiple scales of application, from furniture design and communal domestic equipment to the organization of the future socialist city along a linear modular settlement model extending along mobility infrastructures.
