At the same time, the focus is on the classic medical law aspects of medical information and consent as well as data protection issues. This multifaceted spectrum of questions was the subject of a Göttingen workshop on medical law in November 2010, jointly organized by the Institute for Human Genetics (Faculty of Medicine) and the Center for Medical Law (Faculty of Law). The contributions and results of this conference are made available to the interested public in this volume.
