Sumario:Is the use of military force to protect citizens of another nation justifiable? The present work examines this question from a historical and systematic perspective and reconstructs the arguments proposed for intervention across the history of political thought. The authors demonstrate that a nation's sovereignty cannot be conceptualized as entirely independent from protecting the basic human rights of its citizens.
