Sumario:The renovation of old buildings can no longer be seen as a necessary evil that costs money and summons inconvenience yields. The recognition is growing that the renovation of buildings and its facades, also called the "envelope", can provide significant benefits. Not only does it improve the quality of living and use, also does it lead to energy savings and an increased value of the building. This makes renovations interesting for owners, users and architects. This book reports on the exchange of ideas between science and practice. This resulted in different strategies for the renovation of the envelope and examples of successful projects.
