The Westminster Retable history, technique, conservation

The Westminster Retable is one of the oldest surviving English alterpieces and as a result of the work of conservation described in this book, it would appear to be perhaps the finest of Northern European panel paintings. Every stage of the restoration project is described and illustrated.
