Sumario:Lizette was referred to the provider by hospital staff for panic attacks. She informs the provider that she takes prescribed medicine on an “as needed” basis when she is feeling anxious that immediately calms her down and provides a “numbing” effect. Lizette is observably anxious in the video and reports that she is experiencing preemptive panic attack symptoms such as difficulty breathing. The provider reviews a brief treatment plan moving forward which will include utilizing an evidence-based treatment for panic disorder that will aim to eliminate the panic attacks and no longer necessitate the use of the medication.
