Sumario:Soon after the start of the session, the provider notices that Sofia seems to be distracted by someone else in the room. Sofia is also speaking softly and minimally. Sofia reports that her husband is home and that they live in a small apartment, and that she does not feel comfortable speaking openly in the session out of fear that her husband will hear what she is saying. The provider attempts to troubleshoot with Sofia so that they can continue their session and asks if there is anywhere nearby outside of the home that she can go where she can engage in the session while maintaining privacy and confidentiality. Sofia says that she does not want to leave the house as it might cause her husband to be suspicious. The provider explains that it is best to discontinue today’s session given that Sofia is not comfortable engaging due to her husband being home. They agree to schedule their next session on a day/time when her husband is not home.
