Descripción
Sumario:Vlady (Russia 1920, fled Nazi Europe in 1942, taking Mexican citizenship in 1949) is the author of a complex and fascinating artwork that gives rise to multiple interpretations. The Russian Revolution and the assassination of Trotsky, planned by Stalin and executed by Ramón Mercader in 1940 in Coyoacán, Mexico City are Vlady's favorite themes. From those tragic events, he builds an iconography with a strong political charge. "In the exhibition "Demonios Revolucionarios" we decided to study the iconography that Vlady was creating over more than seven decades of work." (HKB Translation) -- Page 8.
