Sumario:Smartphones are literally at the tip of our nose, and it's hard to ask what a smartphone is. But do we really understand smartphones? To dig deeper into understanding, 11 anthropologists lived in Africa, Asia, Europe and South America for 16 months, respectively, and investigated the spread of smartphones among the elderly. The study reveals that smartphones are a technology used by all generations, not just young people."Global smartphones" present a unique perspective from their global comparative research. Smartphones are always close at hand and are not only devices that meet "Perpetual Opportunism", but are now even the place of our lives. This book shows that smartphones are more than just "app devices" and explores the differences between what people say about smartphones and how they actually use them. The Martphone is an unprecedentedly flexible device to the extent that we users can transform it. This freedom rapidly reflects the individual values of the user on the smartphone. In order to understand this value, it is necessary to consider the ethnic and cultural differences in each region. For example, in addition to the diversity of aging trajectories followed by regions such as Al-Kudus (Jerusalem), Brazil, and Italy, visual communication between China and Japan, mobile money in Cameroon and Uganda, health in Chile and Ireland. Only by considering these differences, such as how to access information, can we understand what a smartphone is and the transformation of life that it brings.
