Descripción
Sumario:Whether a work transposes or transforms empirical data, displaces or conceals it, goes beyond or transfigures it, it is worthy of study in relation to its tangible conditions of possibility. Claude Simon’s novels are studied here in the light of literary history, cultural history and the sociology of literature, which provide a new angle on this major author and Nobel Prize winner in 1985.The author’s writing choices or spontaneous alterations make sense in terms of the system of constraints and motivations in which they exist, in this case all the possible aesthetics and ethics of the literary, artistic, intellectual and political context of the second half of the 20th century.
