Sumario:This document is the continuation of the RST report n 22, published by the Acadmie des sciences in March 2006 (French Space Research). The working group, chaired by Jean-Loup Puget, member of the Acadmie, and made up of representatives of CNES, Insu and CEA and experts, led a reflection on the future of space research in France in the current context of the evolution of the research system. This involves anticipating the 15-year evolution of the national scientific system dedicated to the design, development, implementation, testing and scientific exploitation of space missions. This may concern scientific missions that are the subject of specific programming, as well as the use for scientific purposes of data from operational missions or the performance of demonstration missions combining scientific objectives and anticipation of new services. The group reflected on the organization to put in place, in a context where the complexity is increasing and the duration of the operating phases is lengthening, requiring increasingly massive data processing and archiving systems. , but which must allow access by ever-increasing scientific communities, coming in particular from new disciplines in space (biology, agronomy, geography, human sciences). The outline must also take into account the emergence of new technologies (in mechanics, optics, electronics, etc.) and new software requirements. At the same time, it must integrate the new research landscape, which sees the addition of traditional operators in the sector (Cnes, CNRS, CEA) other public or private organizations located further downstream, as well as the ANR, universities and new cooperation tools (RTRA, competitiveness centers, PRES, campus of excellence, etc.). In each of the areas, recommendations are presented.
