This commentary wants to understnad that summons in the context of the worldat that time and to show that other themes play a role in Ezra and Nehemiah. In the time after the return from the Babylonian exile Israel had to search for a new identity. It was found around the temple and from the Torah of Moses which was appropriated for a new era.
